When is the Chinese New Year Parade?
The Southwest Chinese New Year parade will be on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 5:15p.m. stepping off at Second and Market Street.
Where is the best place to view the parade and what time should we arrive?
The entire parade route is an excellent place to view the parade but it does get more crowded as you get closer to Chinatown. Post Street is a good place to watch the parade. Please arrive no later than 5:00 p.m.
Where are the handicap seatings?
Space will be provided for wheelchairs and one standing attendant per wheelchair at the bleacher zones.

How do I purchase bleacher seats?
Order on line www.chineseparade.com or call 415 986-1370, ext. 103. Cost is $30.00 per ticket, (10% discount will be given on the purchase of 10 or more tickets) Children under 2 are free and must be on a parent's lap. Bleacher seats are not assigned seating. Bleachers are open, no coverage above seats. VISA/MC accepted. Please be in your seats by 5:00 p.m. (All tickets are non-refundable)
Is the parade going to be cancelled if it rains?
No.
How long is the parade?
Approximately 2½ hours.
What is the best way to get to the parade?
