How does my school or community organization participate?
If your school or community organization wishes to be considered for participation in the 2013 Southwest Airlines Parade, please download the 2013 Parade Application and complete it. Send the data sheet, with a photo or video of your group (in costume, if available) to the Chinese New Year Parade Office, 317 West Portal Avenue, Unit 27428, San Francisco, CA 94127-1441. Marching units should develop performances that can be associated with Chinese New Year, Chinese mythology, or Year of the Snake. Floatbuilders must submit color renderings. Describe your costumes and music. PARTICIPATION TO THE CHINESE NEW YEAR PARADE IS BY INVITATION ONLY. Deadline date for Parade Data Sheets is October 30, 2012. Letters of acceptance or denial will be mailed in mid December.
