Program
Join the San Francisco Symphony for an afternoon for the entire family to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Conductor Carolyn Kuan leads the Orchestra in a program blending traditional Chinese and Western instruments and music featuring duo-pianists 15-year-old Peng Peng and 13-year-old Conrad Tao performing Mozart’s Concerto No. 10 in E-flat major for Two Pianos. Following the concert in the Davies Symphony Hall lobbies, all ticket-holders are invited to enjoy Chinese treats, lion dancers, fortune-tellers, and learn about Chinese New Year traditions through arts and crafts and traditional performance artists. The reception, free to all ticket-holders, is from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. The evening also features an elegant post-concert Imperial Dinner inside Zellerbach Rehearsal Hall at Davies Symphony Hall, available for purchase separately.
Tickets
Tickets for the concert and Festival Reception are $20-$50 and are available through SFS Ticket Services at (415) 864-6000 or sfsymphony.org. Tickets for the post-concert Imperial Dinner inside Davies Symphony Hall are $300-$500 and are available by calling the SFS Volunteer Council at (415) 503-5500.
